As Gucci celebrates its 100th trip around the sun, the Italian fashion house unveils its latest digital experiment, Vault. Vault is described as “a time machine, an archive, a library, a laboratory, and a meeting place.” It combines historical foundations of past fashion pieces with the creative risk-taking of the now.
As a way to pay homage to the brand’s meteoric history, Vault promises to feature vintage pieces as baselines for endless processes of creativity and re-imagination. It ensures to be “in a state of continuous evolution”.
Creative director Alessandro Michele gave birth to the concept of Vault through his love for experimentation. By giving new life to archived pieces and providing a space for emerging designers, Vault will become a space for limitless collaboration – even featuring other brands.
Select pieces will be released throughout the year in limited quantity as to provide an ever-changing offering that keeps us guessing and thirsty for the next one. Click here to follow through to Vault.
